Site Observations consist of:
on-site visit with builder to discuss specific construction concerns (slopes, retaining walls, basements, site drainage)
use of survey level instrument to determine slopes around the building pad
collection of soil sample tested for “Atterberg” limits (soil plasticity), allowing for a site-specific foundation design. If shallow clays are found on solid rock, no sample is collected.
Soils Observations consist of:
on-site visit to observe site for soil conditions
